Weytrust high hardness fused alumina abrasive media for heavy deburring, rough grinding & metal rust removal. Brown & white fused alumina tumbling media matched for vibratory tumbler machines, original factory direct supply.
Our fused alumina (aluminum oxide) abrasive media is produced via high-temperature melting, available in brown and white grades. With ultra-high hardness and sharp cutting power, it excels at heavy rough grinding, fast deburring, scale and rust removal for steel, cast iron and other ferrous metals. Ideal for mass pre-processing with vibratory tumbler equipment.
Raw virgin brown fused alumina with ceramic binder is high-temperature sintered, offering sharp cutting for efficient rough grinding.
Designed for rough finishing to quickly remove burrs, flash, rust, oxide layers and tool scratches, creating a smooth surface for fine polishing..
Suitable for stainless steel, iron, aluminum, magnesium, zinc alloy, copper and general metal hardware components.
Triangular, spherical, cylindrical, star and oval options fit flat planes, holes, curved and irregular workpieces.

White fused alumina has higher aluminum oxide purity, higher hardness for finer coarse grinding; brown fused alumina owns better toughness with more economical price for general heavy rough processing.
Not recommended. Its sharp cutting edge is easy to scratch soft non-ferrous metals, ceramic or resin media are better choices for aluminum and brass workpieces.
Coarse grit (120# ~ 400#) is ideal for heavy burr removal; fine grit above 600# is used for secondary fine coarse grinding.
Brown fused alumina is designed for rough grinding, so its wear resistance is lower than abrasives used for fine polishing. However, our product outperforms ordinary commercial brown fused alumina on the market in terms of wear resistance, cutting power and overall performance.
Wet grinding with water is recommended. For metal workpieces prone to rust, replace water with rust-proof liquids such as kerosene, cutting fluid or emulsion fluid.
It cannot produce a bright polished finish. Featuring strong cutting capacity, brown fused alumina will remove the original metallic luster, leaving a dull, matte surface after processing. The workpiece will become flat and smooth instead of shiny.
There must be a proper size gap between the workpiece and abrasive media for easy separation after processing. Normally, the abrasive size should be smaller than the workpiece.
Larger-sized abrasives work faster for workpieces with heavy burrs, yet excessively big grains may easily cause damage to your parts.
